About

Background

I'm a software engineer with 2.5+ years of professional experience in software development, systems integration and infrastructure deployment. I worked at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a research and development organisation under the Government of India, contributing to large-scale national level emergency response platforms including Emergency Response Support System (ERSS-112), Women Helpline (WHL-181) and Child Helpline (CHL-1098).

My work included developing backend services using Node.js, MongoDB, PostgreSQL and RabbitMQ, including the integration of Google Emergency Location Service (ELS) and the WhatsApp Business Platform. I also worked on Linux servers, virtual machines, VMware ESXi, vCenter, load balancing and network configuration as part of system deployment and integration activities.

I hold an MSc in Information Systems with First Class Honours from the University of Galway and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. My academic work has further developed my experience in cloud computing, AWS, CI/CD, Agile and software development. I'm interested in opportunities across software engineering, backend development and cloud or systems engineering.

Software Engineer

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC)
R&D Organisation under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India

  • Designed and integrated Google Emergency Location Service (ELS) into the PAN-India Emergency Response Support System (ERSS-112) project, developing a centralised server and distributed backend modules using Node.js, MongoDB, RabbitMQ and React for real-time location data processing.
  • Engineered and benchmarked the ELS backend to sustain 1,500+ requests/second using Apache JMeter, identifying performance bottlenecks and validating scalability for a mission-critical production environment for ERSS-112.
  • Developed backend services for integrating the WhatsApp Business Platform with ERSS-112 using Node.js, React, Kafka and PostgreSQL, supporting automated messaging workflows and reliable API communication.
  • Deployed and managed 30+ Linux virtual machines per state using VMware ESXi and vCenter including server configuration, load balancing, networking, application deployment and infrastructure troubleshooting as part of the infrastructure supporting ERSS-112.
  • Performed server installation, configuration and deployment for ERSS-112, Women Helpline (WHL-181) and Child Helpline (CHL-1098) across 10+ states in India including on-site technical support and system training.
  • Contributed to R&D work on LoRa-based IoT communication systems using STM32 and Raspberry Pi Pico, exploring a redundant long-range connectivity channel for emergency-response applications.

Beyond Code

Exploring the world through a different lens

Outside of systems and code, I enjoy photography as a creative outlet, shooting as @the_clickr.
My work mainly focuses on nature, light, landscapes, and long-exposure astrophotography, with an interest in capturing details and moments that are easy to overlook.
